Do Mobiles Cause Cancer

Make up your own mind if using a mobile is safe

Call me a sceptic. Read to the end and make up your own mind.

According to mainstream media and medics, current large-scale studies show no significant link between mobile phone or earphone use and the overall rise in cancers, especially brain tumors, although some older meta-analyses raised concerns about long-term, heavy use and risk for specific types, such as gliomas and acoustic neuromas, mainly from mobile phones held close to the head.

Claims state that the radiofrequency (RF) radiation from mobile devices and Bluetooth earphones is classified as non-ionizing, which means it does not have enough energy to directly cause DNA damage and cancer.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]

Mobile Phones and Cancer Risk

Most recent, comprehensive cohort studies have found no increased risk for brain tumors (gliomas, meningiomas, acoustic neuromas) among heavy mobile phone users versus light users, even after more than a decade of use.[4][10][8][11][12]

Some older studies and meta-analyses found a possible elevated risk for gliomas and acoustic neuromas with long-term (10+ years) ipsilateral (same side of head) exposure, but these results have not been consistently replicated in newer, better-controlled studies.[3][13][14]

Large population studies have identified a slight increase of certain cancers (e.g., skin cancer, urinary tract, and prostate cancer) in mobile phone users, but the direct mechanism is unclear and could be due to confounding lifestyle factors.[15]

Earphones and Bluetooth Devices

The radiation from Bluetooth and other wireless earphones is even lower than that of mobile phones, and there is currently no evidence showing a link with increased cancer risk or brain damage.[5][7][16][17]

Non-ionizing radiation from Bluetooth is considered biologically weak in terms of its ability to affect living tissues, generating less energy than microwaves or even visible light.[7][9][17]

One recent study did find an association between prolonged Bluetooth headset use and increased thyroid nodule risk, but this is not cancer and requires further investigation for conclusive evidence.[18]

Biological Mechanism and Public Health Response

Unlike ionizing radiation (X-rays, UV rays), the RF energy from mobile phones and earphones cannot directly break chemical bonds in DNA or cause mutations necessary for cancer development.[9][7]

International health organizations, including the World Health Organization and National Cancer Institute, currently state that the available scientific evidence does not support a notable cancer risk stemming from typical mobile phone or earphone usage.[2][11][7]

Thyroid nodule risk noted but not cancer, very low exposure[5][7][18]

Overall, while concerns lingered for decades, up-to-date research does not support a major causal impact of mobile phones or earphones on the rise of cancer rates, and risk from daily, typical device use is regarded as minimal by leading public health authorities.[11][1][5][7]

My Intuition Never Lies!

now for the truth

Remember when cigarettes were advertised widely and we were told there was no link with poor health? #justsaying

So when will the real story be accepted that the frequencies from phones are damaging? I expect, not in my lifetime, although one day, like the whole con-vid debacle, the truth will come out.

This case in Italy has some merit - why did the claimant win his case (although of course, subject to appeal)

Always use the hands free option and if you have to use headphones, use the wired version not Bluetooth to minimise radio frequency.

Avoid blue light before bed because it suppresses melatonin which the brain needs to fall asleep AND increases cortisol - the stress hormone.

Phones emit radiation - look at the demonstrations.

I am taking no chances. Make up your own mind.
